Did you ever hear about Sims Online? The Sims are one of the most famous series of casual games. They sold millions worldwide and one of the games is Sims Online. Obviously the action of Sims Online takes place over the internet, which allows people to communicate with each other and form friendships. You can build a house, get a job, buy furniture and decorate your house in many ways.

What is interesting is that EA-Land got launched which is a free version of Sims Online. It is completely free-to-play and users have now the ability to upload custom content. Since the game is free this will probably attract a lot more people, since when it comes to Sims Online not everyone was willing to buy the game for $40 and then pay a hefty monthly free.

Yahoo is one of the most prominent search engines in the world, but since Google is currently the number one search engine, Yahoo has to constantly think about improving its search engine in order to compete. One of the recent changes to Yahoo is that it will be soon allowing others to enhance its search engine experience. The “Open Search Platform”, as it is called, consists of APIs that will allow people to modify search results by multiple ways, including images, structured data and additional links. A fully customized website that will be listed in the Open Search Platform will be able to include the rating, address and phone in case of a business and links to particular places such as photos or reviews. Using the APIs tools is probably going to be popular, as adding more information to the search results will attract more visitors. Will Google react to this change? Time will tell.

World of Tech is a blog dedicated to various technology subjects. Having said that, I am probably going to focus on topics related to computers and various gadgets.
